I've had what you call a "dark passenger" since I was a kid. It has come out a few times but luckily I never suffered real trouble as a result. The problem is that once you unleash it it's hard to control because it isn't driven by logic. The most effective way I've found to deal with it is to work out because doing so relieves stress while at the same time makes me feel like I'm strengthening and empowering myself. The dark passenger I think is a result of feeling powerless; the gym helps me to counter that. Thanks for the read.
