Oregon is my favorite State of all the states I've been to. My mom lived there for a long time so I visited fequently in Ashland. They have a Shakespeare festival and I skiied ul at Mt. Ashland. I've also been to Crater Lake and to the coast near Eugene. There are pockets of MAGA puppets like you said but that's true of any state even the red ones. Sounds like Oregon is much better than Idaho.
